30th Edition of the International Exhibition of Humor
Theme of the year: BUREAUCRACY
From this year, the Salone has benefited from the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, a recognition that crowns such international event of quality. The exhibition was inaugurated for the first time by a Minister, the Hon. Dario Antoniozzi, Minister of the tourism.
Bureaucracy: different ideas and styles but only one goal: to attempt a trial against the world bureaucracy! With several thousand drawings received from 47 countries, this edition is one of the richest. "Bureaucracy is in fact a universal phenomenon: Western and Eastern European and extra European, democratic or undemocratic countries, all suffer from this disease" says Paolo del Vaglio from the columns of Avvenire. The theme is tackled with vigorous irony as exemplified by the two castaways of the Argentine Quino or by the obsequious official of the Polish Zbigniew Juika.

Valentin Rosancev, Russia, receives the Palme d'Or for the design, Quino, Argentina, the Golden Date for the Fixed Theme, Karol Seles designs the poster. Luciano De Crescenzo wins the Palme d'Or for Humorous Literature with "Cosí spoke Bellavista".
Among the accompanying initiatives, we remember the Humor Car exhibition by FIAT.
Also this year, the exhibition after Bordighera is exhibited at the foyer of the Council of Europe building in Strasbourg.
For the thirtieth edition, the humorists present to Cesare a heartfelt tribute to the "Thirty Years War" that the Salone has victoriously fought and won. The text contains an ironic and affectionate invitation to Cesare to “roll up your sleeves, after having blown your nose” because the history of the Salone must continue! Invitation accepted.
